I find Mar Roxas' decision to drop his undeclared candidacy a bit hokey. Is he saying that only someone from the same bloodline can continue a political moral legacy? Has this kind of thinking not plagued our culture for centuries? Aside from being Ninoy's son, who is Noynoy?
But what do I know?
But what do I know?

Weak
I had been crying and crying for weeks
How’d I survive when I can barely speak
Barely eat
On my knees
But that’s the moment You came to me
I don’t know what Your love has done to me
Think I’m invincible I see
Through the me
I used to be
You changed my whole life
Don’t know what You're doing to me with Your love
I’m feeling all Super human
You did that to me
Super human heart beats in me
Nothing can stop me here with You, superhuman
Strong
Since I’ve been flying and righting the wrongs
Feels almost like i had it all along
I can see tomorrow
But every problem is gone because
I flew everywhere with love inside of me
It’s unbelievable to see
How love could set me free
Its not a bird
Not a plane
Its my heart and its gonna go away
My only weakness is You
Only reason is You
Every minute with You I feel like I can do
Anything
I had been crying and crying for weeks
How’d I survive when I can barely speak
Barely eat
On my knees
But that’s the moment You came to me

Heartache is feeling entitled to erotic love from someone just because you are you (because you have so earned being you and you is to be worshiped for your youness), and not getting it.

Had my first try at IV insertion today, and since we had partners to take turns with it was also my first IV turok by another virgin. At the end of the third try, it was me using up all the dry cotton balls to mop up my blood off the floor. Both experiences were equally scary I have to say.

Lil Rounds, "The Way You Make Me Feel" - Grade: C - Like really good karaoke. Some Fantasia neck-work.
Scott MacIntyre, "Keep the Faith" - Grade: C+ - Much better behind the piano, but not up to my expectations. He basically Elton-John-ed the song. Noteworthy false'.
Danny Gokey, "P.Y.T." - Grade: C - Oh noes! A dance song! But not as bad as I thought it would be. Some pitch problems. Dude, don't dance.
Michael Sarver, "You Are Not Alone" - Grade: B- - Almost flawless performance, but boring on stage.
Jasmine Murray, "I'll Be There" - Grade: F - Hilaw. She is probably SAFE though.
Kris Allen, "Remember the Time" - Grade: C+ - Still cute. Jason Mraz vibe. Guitar was just a prop though. Wife looked truly pissed!
Allison Iraheta, "Give in to Me" - Grade: B+ - Rock much? Still underrated. She should just NOT talk though.
Anoop Desai, "Beat It" - Grade: F - Knew it. But he is probably SAFE. Note the new hair style.
Jorge Nunez, "Never Can Say Goodbye" - Grade: F - ZZZZ. GOODBYE! He has really huge irises. Creepy!
Megan Corkrey, "Rockin' Robin" - Grade: F - 5 seconds into the song I was wishing she'd stop and say, "just kidding!" and then get on with her real song choice. WTF! She had to be stupid. I like her, but she is probably GONE.
Adam Lambert, "Black or White" - Grade: B+ - Realizing his voice is crap when he is not .. er .. screaming. Did he almost cry?
Matt Giraud, "Human Nature" - Grade: C - Lambert is a tough act to follow. Matt held back on the riffs. He could have jazzed it up a bit (don't listen to the judges!). Some good falsettos though. Starting to get the Justin Timberlake comparison.
Alexis Grace, "Dirty Diana" - Grade: A - Perfect song. Over-the-top comment by Simon was out of place. This song is just the kind of song that needs stepping up and she did great. My favorite tonight. FTW!

My Idol ranking:
10) Jorge Nunez - just blah. He has a good voice, but other than that, a snoozer.
9) Adam Lambert - amazing voice. He is definitely memorable. His style is just not my thing I guess.
8) Anoop Desai - haven't been blown away by this dude, but he does have personality and a decent voice. I have a feeling he will last much longer in the competition than he should though. He is amassing a monster fan-base.
7) Kris Allen - mostly because I have a libido. So sue me.
6) Allison Iraheta - girl has pipes. VERY awkward on interviews though.
5) Lil Rounds - good old-fashioned R&B singer. She reminds me somewhat of LaToya London.
4) Danny Gokey - the timbre of his voice is like Elliott Yamin's only Danny is not afraid to pull falsettos. I'm not totally blown away by his version of "Hero". The snippets of him singing "Kiss from a Rose" and "I Hope You Dance" in Hollywood have more impact. I am starting to find him a bit cocky though and I don't even know why. Just a gut feel I suppose.
3) Megan Corkery - she can sing a 2-note melody and it doesn't matter because her delivery is so unique that it becomes believable. Her quirky dance moves remind me of jittery coked-up Amy Winehouse. I love them both.
2) Alexis Grace - the girl is channeling Aretha and the Queen ain't even dead yet. I can't wait to see what she does next.
1) MATT GIRAUD! - this guy REALLY needs to stick to blues and soul. I don't quite get the Elliott comparison except that they sing the same genre. This is a weird favorite for me by the way because I really don't consider him the best singer technically, but when he is in his soulful element he really outshines the rest. "Georgia on my mind" and "Who's loving you" are on repeat on my iTunes because of him. Hopefully "La Vida" will be the last performance he bombs on the show. I'm glad to see him leading the wildcard pack for iTunes downloads.

Hating on:
11) Scott MacIntyre - he can sing, but there are other singers that could sing circles around him that deserve his sympathy slot. He is supposedly good on the piano though so I might still change my mind.
12) Michael Sarver - total sympathy vote. Not changing my mind on this one.
13) JASMINE MURRAY - I DO NOT get this pick AT ALL. Seriously stumped. Package artist daw kasi. The judges are on drugs. Ricky Braddy or Jesse Langseth or Felicia Barton might still be in the finals if not for this enigma.
I hope they do a double elimination this week and get rid of Michael and Jasmine.

I have the HUGEST schoolgirl crush on Kris Allen. It doesn't hurt that he can sing too.
He's no Danny but I hope he sticks around.
I'm happy with the other two finalists too. Allison got the praises she deserved, but I still think she is underrated. Carly and Ramielle couldn't touch her with that same song. If she had the bigger stage to work with, her performance would probably have had the same impact as Carrie Underwood's.
I am not a fan of Adam Lambert, but out of everyone there I think he is an okay choice. I'd love to see him perform something by Aerosmith.
A bit sad to see the two girls with really unique voices leave, Jessie Langseth and Megan Corkrey.
I predict Matt Giraud as buy-in for wild card just because of his Ray Charles performance in Hollywood. He totally bombed semifinals.

Every day, every moment demands a decision. Will you be a medical student today? Will you let yourself get distracted by people walking past your table at the coffee shop while studying? Will you make that business call now or finish your lunch? Will this be your last cigarette? Will you let your mind dwell on defeats? Will you let depression settle into your being? We are what we are today because of the decisions we made. I will be what I want to be.

You win tonight. You are in my thoughts. Like water through a broken levy. I won't deny. I will be swept away. I will be crushed. Drowned. Just one night. You should be so thankful. I'm tired.
